Home fishing

Yes! the visually impaired do go fishing.
We bait our own hooks, use the latest rods and reels and take pleasure in handling the caught fish.
To the surprise of many no one falls overboard and while not all take home a large catch most revel in the salt air and the motion of the sea.

Our Club has been in existence for over fortyfive years and while membership is small, members are active and competition is keen.
Activities are confined to the summer months due to weather conditions and the availability of charter boats. We aim for six trips a season but the final number is dependent on availability of funds.
The cup for largest Schnapper of the season is the most sort after prize and there are of course similar rewards for other species.

New members are always welcome. Visitors are cordially invited to join our excursions, but numbers are dependent on deck space available on the day.
Should you require further information regarding trips and fees or be a visitor to Auckland and wish to talk fishing and tell of the one that got away; feel free to contact us. Go to the contacts page for details.
