Blind Sport New Zealand is pleased to offer scholarships of up to $250.00 for persons aged 18 and
under to assist them in developing in their chosen sport.
Each year there will be up to eight scholarships available.
Applications must be made on the Junior Scholarship Application Form and successful applicants must
agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Scholarship, which include being a financial
member in good standing of Blind Sport New Zealand.
Applications should include full details of the assistance requested and where appropriate include a
letter of support from a coach and/or club.
Applications will be considered by the Executive Committee of Blind Sport New Zealand and their
decision shall be binding.
Priority shall be given to:
1. Assisting with costs incurred in developing a junior athlete.
The scholarship program is designed to assist in breaking down the financial barriers that prevent junior
athletes taking part in their chosen sport.

2. Assisting with costs to enable a junior athlete to participate in sports that have a pathway to Paralympic level.
